The pricing is given for each of four different amounts of tooling on the saddle:
Fully tooled - all parts of the saddle are tooled
7/8 tooled - all parts are tooled except the seat jockey
3/4 tooled - all parts are tooled except the seat jockey and fenders
1/2 tooled - all parts are tooled except the seat jockey, fenders, and skirt body
On cutting saddles it is most often seen as a 3/4 tooled saddle with either roughout or smooth seat and fenders. On reining saddles it is often requested as a fully tooled design. It is not as "plain" as untooled leather, but it is easily kept and cleaned. Its pricing is as follows:

This is also a very popular design.

This design (like the Oak / Basketweave combination)is very popular, especially among the Reiners. It is attractive, yet it is not as expensive as a fully carved saddle. It also goes well with just a touch of silver!
